recently, a friend of mine attended a seminar and met a heavily pregnant friend. apparently, that friend didn't go through the traditional way of having a child after marriage. fortunately, her partner was mature and bore all responsibilities.
this friend of mine has always been conservative but inquisitive about sex. while talking to her friend, she sent me a series of long sms-es criticising her pregnant friend and laminating on how a woman's body changes during pregnancy.
why do we succumb to temptations? since we are on the topic of sex. let me give you a scenario.
a couple is at the peak and wish to take it further but the risks involved put them off. in the middle of their fantasy, both feel that getting protection is their form of insurance, oblivious of the lingering risk. so they got it on but things happen a few months later.
the morale of the story - the availability of resources can put our resistance to temptations off.
i am not suggesting that we should use this excuse and start having romps every night but this entry is to remind ourselves not to be too pragmatic with our beliefs. they are our friends after all.

i was grilled by the president of saa at my club's dinner 2 weeks ago. he asked about my track plans which i presented with my sea games target. in response, i was blasted for having such a low aim and i should be aiming for sea games gold instead. wow, how can i get gold when i can't even go? byebye laos.....
mexico will be hosting the iaaf racewalking world cup next year. i expressed my interest to do the 50km there but the answer is always bureaucratic.
i had my second ippt attempt yesterday. the first time i did the test, i was 5cm short (due to the standing broad jump station) of gold. So i decided to retake it and was happy with the outcome - gold and a faster 2.4km time (9.29min as compared to 9:57min in my first attempt, those times aren't my personal best (7:11min) but i am pleased with the efforts).
yesterday's evening, yuji hosted dinner to celebrate his birthday. the spread was a scumptious fusion of international cuisines and a wide selection of booze. prior to the event, his culinary skills were often complimented and i can say they are no fluke.
i need a review on the ugly truth. if you plan to watch it, please give me a review. :)
happy holidays!!!
